As Priestesses, even in our modern world, it is important to recognize the natural world as a resource for our connection with spirit. Oracular history has been passed down for thousands of years, it is only recently we have been bound to books, film, the internet etc. To be able to access the essential space in which all life is teeming, we must disengage at times from our mundane worlds, our obsessive need to check our phones even while we are trying to meditate - yes you! It is imperative that we contemplate, make room for and practice genuine interactive relationship with nature. Nature IS Creation.
In the life and work of Lady Olivia Robertson, nature, art and spirituality were completely entwined. As we follow her journey of ritual play, which is rich in history as well as invocation, we weave multiple aspects of ourselves together into a truly unified bliss. Her rites are sometimes quite serious, other times hilariously comical - as is life. But if we pay attention to the symbols she provides, we can learn a great deal about the mysteries of the Goddess.
The Fellowship of Isis provides organization for groups with various areas of focus and levels of study. Isuems are groups which wish to gather in circle in Her name to honor and and observe ritual holidays, liturgical practices, new and full moon gatherings, etc. Lyceums are headed by ordained clergy who feel called to offer the Liturgical Study of the College of Isis based off of the Star of Ishtar. The Path of Solar Alchemy was established for Priestesses and Priests desiring a Path of Personal Transformation through the Liturgical Rites. Olivia associated the image of the Alchemical Rose to this offering of transformation.
The Temple of the Rose Solar Iseum is a place of the heart. We honor the 2000 year old teachings of the Magdalen Heart as she was instructed through the Temples of Isis as a Priestess in her own right. We honor the piercing of the veil that has enabled the Divine Feminine to re-emerge on planet Earth as Isis, Mother Mary and in her many other names. We honor Sophia as both the Holy Over Soul who descended into matter in the form of the Magdalen, as well as, her physical expression into matter as our Earth Mother, Gaia, upon whom we live, love and serve.
