"These are portals to different levels of being,"  Olivia writes, "providing access to 32 working rites, and one mystical, the 33rd, situated at the heart of the Star. I felt it necessary to keep the 33rd degree open and therefore mystic, with no corresponding rite - spontaneous spiritual awakening can happen at any time.

The FOI Liturgy rites are vehicles to stimulate psychic perception and spiritual illumination."

While solitary practice can be useful, and at times necessary, for many spiritual learnings to occur, The Temple of the Rose encourages the active engagement and physical portrayal of the rites with community for maximum benefits to this path of potential initiation.  The Star Diagram below is interactive. 

Each number corresponds to a Rite in the Solar Spiral of Alchemy adapted by Olivia,

in its second form, to include the Rites of Brigid.*

Rite 33 is the Mystical Initiation which has no corresponding Liturgical Rite.
