SISTERHOOD OF THE ROSE
OUR FOUNDERS

HISTORY & MISSION
The Sisterhood of the Rose is a concept and a consciousness active for thousands of years. In our lifetime, the need for a return to sisterhood to support women's healing and emergence into leadership has become critically important. This circle, is one of many. The founders of the The Temple of the Rose have been working in concert to hold space for the expressions of Divine Feminine spirituality for over 10 years. The inspiration for this exploration and commitment has stemmed from the history of feminine saints and re-emergence of feminine archetypes, as well as, the extraordinary environmental issues of our time. We believed, and we have seen, that giving space for the voice of the feminine to speak (or sing!) we give rise to potent, rooted leaders in community, faith and healing. The Temple of the Rose Solar Iseum was Consecrated in May 2016 at Boulder Creek in Boulder, CO following the completion of the first 13 Moon Mysteries program of 2013-2014.

One of the most powerful things in the world is a circle of women. The healing web of sisters is forming and you are being called to become a link in our connection of love and healing. It is time to unite.
For millennia women have been meeting, forming circles of trust and healing. Most of the time these circles were formed in secret. Once again we are being called to this work.
The spiritual foundation for this work reflects a perceived essential truth present in circles of many lands from the Temple of Isis, to Celtic fields, to the heart of the Amazon Forest, to our African roots and Native American Grandmother ways. All in service to the heart of our Mother.

Through these intensely transitional and challenging times, we are discovering our capacity for rage, pain, joy, compassion and so much more. Our emotions run the gammut because we are reflecting the Earth’s feelings which are exploding all over the literal and figurative map. We need her to be clear and healthy and the first step in this process is clearing ourselves and creating a healthy relationship with ourselves and a supportive dynamic among our sisterhood.
Since time immemorium, people around the globe have passed down knowledge to generation after generation through stories, contemplative practices, access to nature, and rites of passage. Through these channels of ever flowing information, humanity understands it's place in the universe and can find a dynamic orientation to this thing called life. While many of us have been blessed to have these traditions passed down to us, many more, especially in the west, have been separated from our own indigenous mysteries. Through colonization and immigration we have lost our stories and our connections to the land that was once held dear by our ancestors. This separation, over time, creates anxiety, as we try to navigate our modern world. By returning to the source of where we come from, we find the tools to be supported in the exploration of our deepest longings, releasing our deepest fears, and finding comfort in our skin.
One of the most important tools for healing ourselves is support. In the Sisterhood of the Rose, we hold a space of non-judgment, and we hold a space of truth. What is spoken here, shared here, is held as sacred. And we participate in the glorious, though sometimes messy, process of unwinding the untruths we have learned about ourselves and how we see each other. We can clear blocks that have been passed on to us through the generations. This manifests for us personally in our lives, in our work, our relationships, our sexuality and our family struggles. When we work on one level, we are simultaneously working all levels at once.
The time is NOW. People all over the world are waking up and discovering that the hate and violence that is striking our people, plants and animals has a source of pain. We must allow ourselves to acknowledge that pain and realize that we all share it, in one way or another. This commonality is what brings us together in order to bridge all of the opinions and beliefs that divide us. It is through the power of the Mother of Compassion, and Mother Nature herself that we can listen, speak and teach each other - how to right this wrong.
You know this is necessary and you know you are not alone. Circles are forming all over the world once again and you are being called to be a part of it. It is taking shape in many different ways and you will know when you have found yours. Pay attention to the women that you meet, to the coincidences and synchronicity. Follow them and find your circle.
BROTHERS in the TEMPLE of the ROSE
The Temple of the Rose is blessed by the companionship of Brothers on this sacred path. We welcome the support and partnership of brothers who are engaged in their own spiritual discovery. The Temple itself has been founded by Sisters who remain committed to restoring the leadership role of the Feminine Principle to all areas of life including but not limited to: health, education, art, and areas of pastoral concern.
